Anybody got an idea where I can obtain a gearbox mounting rubber, either 2.8, or 2.9. I have tried the ford dealers round here, and get told that they don't stock them any more, and can't, (or won't), get them.
The standard ford one is more sloppy than a sloppy thing. It has enough movement to put your gearbox in another county!
I bought a new westfield one for the princely sum of £8.50 direct from westfield.
The mounting bracket is home made

Many thanks for the info. will get in touch with Westfields on monday. ATB Chippy.
I've just done the same as Mark. It may be useful to know that you can mount the westfield mount on at 3mm thick steel plate attached to the
bottom of the chassis rails and it keeps the gearbox at the same height as the sierra one which is mounted on top of the chassis rails. If you place
the two mounts side by side it doesn't seem as if this is true, however the sierra one compresses quite a bit when the full weight of the gearbox
rests on it. The Westfield one is virtually solid.

recommended the mount from westfield a while ago no problems with it so far.
Does anyone has mesurement of the Westfield mount?
I need to fit it between the chassie rails and slightly off center.

Nice shoe!
Is it an MK supplied feature or an aftermarket job?
James
I knew you guys would comment the shoe!
Actually, it is a Swedish reference shoe for building pedalboxes
