I'm converting to MAP from TPS and I got a 2 bar sensor from trigger wheels but when its all connected up and powered the KPA should read 100 which is atmospheric pressure.. anyone any ideas why this isn't right?? car is not running I should add.
Help appreciated as i need the car this weeekend..

sorted now i think!! needed recalibrated

Interestingly ( or is it only me?) 1 bar is 100Kpa or 14.5psi but 1 atmosphere is 101.35Kpa or 14.7psi
So what do you calibrate to?

Yes indeed, I have it calibrated now so that atmos pressure reads approx 102 KPA, I'm not too sure how accurate it is in either direction from there in psi boost or -inhg vac...??? but at least i can map it to what ever linear scale i have created!! be it slightly wrong it shouldnt matter.

now for the mapping bit I was gonna trig open the bypass valve from the charger and map the engine NA and then map the boost after... No doubt I'll be back with some Qs

whats best to set ignition timing to during higher rev closed throttle, when vac is way higher than at idle..?
