hey all just wandering if i could get some answers about my engine number i have looked on the machined part of the block as i have been told thats were the number is and it should be a 6-8 digit number mine is CLBFAD53888 is that my engine number seems longer than all the others i have seen and also on wikipedia under ford pinto engine it says there are differant types of the pinto engine with differant engine codes would these be the same as the engine numbers as there codes all start with the letter N any help would be appreciated

That's a casting number of some sort
Engine number is on a flat machined face under the exhaust manifold half way down the block
Starts with 2 letters 5 numbers

thats the ingraved number on a flat part of the block its under the exhuast manifold and above the casting number (70hm6015B-A)

(thats a 205 block, but they are all in the same place)
