Hi can anyone please tell me the gaer ratio diference beetween a 2.8 type 9 and a 2.0 type 9.cheers

the 2.8 box has a longer input shaft (which can be modified or replaced) and is generally more expensive to begin with. You can fit a longer first to a 4 pot/2.3 v6 (short input shaft) box - such as this 2.98 from Burtons http://www.burtonpower.com/sierra-type-9-5-speed-2-98-1-long-1st-gear-conversion-kit-gbt9200.html

V6 type 9 fitted to my car. Input shaft is standard but I have a 30mm Caterham spacer fitted between the bellhousing and gearbox. This means there were no modifications needed to the input shaft and the gearlever is also 30mm further back.

Stick a Steve Perks long first kit on the V6 box and you a have a superb set of ratios for peanuts.
