I saw this on Wheeler Dealers and it looked very impressive. There's one very local to me that I was going to put the wife's cmax 20.tdi
through and see if that can fix an iffy injector which is still now and again (only when the wife drives it) sticking on start up. If it makes a big
difference I was going to put my Volvo S60 in to as that's at 80k and sometimes a little jittery. Can't find any independent tests to show
if it does or doesn't remove carbon (i.e head of see level, head on, do the clean, head off to see the results...) and I noticed that the
official web site has a lot more beneficial claims than the guy who contacted me!
Anyone tried it and thinks it's good or bad?
If I get the volvo done, I'll be able to test their mpg improvement claims as I do the same exact route everyday in the same traffic conditions.
My normal average mpg only varies by 0.1 mpg over the whole week! as the route is so consistant, they claiming differences around 10mpg! so we'll
see...

Have not tried this and not sure how it can achieve the claims made of it based on the WD episode with the Jag.
Given that some of the other things shown on WD are somewhat wide of their claims (the vortex exhaust for one) I would treat this with some caution
especially as there seems to be little independant reviews or testing of this.
Yeah I didn’t realise when watching the show the Terraclean was a service his garage provided so I wouldn’t regard him as wholly independent even if
he does believe in the system
I also found the explanation of how it works a bit questionable
I note here on their site they state that it is not for fixing problems (presumably mechanical in nature)
"TerraClean is not a "fix" for a problem, it is a highly effective preventative maintenance service which will help prevent problems
occuring, prolong component life and improve the efficiency of your vehicle in terms of performance, fuel economy and emissions."

From what I've read on other forums it's a waste of £90 on a derv, for a week or too you will notice it running better/smoother then it just
gets sooted up again.
Petrols get better longer lasting results, some that won't pass MOT emissions fly through after terraclean and stay cleaner for longer.
well it's £108 now on their web site, I'm sure it was £70 on the show!
having done loads of heads off decoking the hard way it does help prevent running on etc, like you say it doesn't stay clean very long though I
have found redex does quite well to keep it down. With the wifes car I'm wanting to see if it will help the injectors which are super expensive.
Suppose I'm just going to give it a go see if it does anything.
Perhaps VW could use it to make there cars cleaner
Terraclean update
Well it’s been about a month or so after having both the wife’s Cmax diesel and my Volvo petrol given the Terraclean treatment. As both cars give you
mpg readouts and are used on the same route same traffic day in day out they should give a very good indication of any improvement in mpg and
drivability.
So the results? Well basically no change at all has been noted, absolutely nothing
Initially there might have been at most a 3 mpg improvement in the Volvo but the average mpg is now showing exactly the same value as before as is the
wife’s car. Tbh I just can’t spot any difference.
Quite disappointing for £90 per car (special event discount), also didn’t change the sticky injector at all on the wife’s car so still have that to
deal with.
Oh well can’t really recommend that sadly…
