fuel pump

Looking to make my fuel tank with a submerged fuel pump, looking for opinions, do I use the 17 year old pump from the BMW donor or buy a new unit? How do I know what the pressure is on the existing pump and what the pressure should be on the new pump?

How easy is it to reach and replace ?

If easy go with the original pump, then replace it if it develops a problem.

Pressure is normally regulated by a FPR not the pump, most open around 3bar, so the pump need to produce more than this.

Cheers Ken. Just noticed you are in Pitmedden. I'm going to be there on Monday morning to sort out the Scottish Water waste treatment works.
