Rover 214 Radiator
Chris_R - 6/2/05 at 07:19 PM

I've not got a nose cone and have just claimed a new Rover 214 radiator. It measures 525mm L x 460mm H, does anyone know if it'll fit?

Cheers,

Chris.

Chris

I have nose cone from an Indy, don't know if it is same as book, but the bit of cardboard is 530mm wide and 430mm high. It's sitting in the same plane as the front chassis members LA/LB?

As ever welcome to call round and have a trial fit.

Would a radiator work portrait rather than landscape? or are the pipes going the wrong way?

One of them sticks out the side, which may prove a problem. I fitted it only a few weeks before I took the car off the road and it's now off to the scrappie in the sky. Shame not to make some use of it.

From what I remember, and I may be wrong, an indie's similar to book dimensions with the exception of being an inch taller.

If it's alright I'll bring it round, not sure when though, there's a lot on over the next couple of weeks.

Cheers Mike.

Did you get a fan and rad, or just the rad? Worth saying that the Rover 214/216 fan is great for specials, use one one my grasser.

It has a decent shroud on it, which is a sensible size and shape, unlike most std fans.

Yeah, have both. That makes 2 now as i'd already taken one from a Metro.
