Bob da builder - 24/4/02 at 04:22 PM

As posted before, i am still having problems getting a dizzy to fit a 1300 x flow with twin weber 40's.(Original cam) HELP!!! have got a bosch dizzy with side entry cap but that still dosent fit!!

Also:

Vacume advance. i have had conflicting advice... blank it off or tap into the manifold for the vacume? my theory is that i need it cos if you didnt why did ford fit it in the first place?? any ideas??

Oil breather from engine: orignaly burnt off in the mainfold. should i tap into the new manifold as original or use a catchment tank?? will this be SVA friendly??

any advice would be welcome as i want to start it up for the first time ASAP, you know how it is i want to hear those webers purrrrr!

Cheers rob

Vacuum advance on my 40'd up CVH goes into one of inlets on the manifold. I assume it'd be the same for a X-Flow? Seems to be ok on mine (although not in a Locost so it didn't need to pass SVA)

What manifold have you got? short 3" or a swan neck one? The short one is for 1600

Use a lotus Cortina dizzy. Dont need vacume advance with a performance motor ford put in on the cars for economy.

Also use a catch tank, you dont wanna clog the intake with all that gunge.
