I just fitted some trumpets to my zx9 carbs tell me what u think then i will tell u what they are and how much they cost

They do look just like the plastic ports you can buy for making ported speaker enclosures.

Look like b&w speaker ports to me

correct they are speaker ports £8 from maplins they taper out with a radiused end as far as optimising air flow i dont care they serve a perpose and were cheap its not a race car

i will find out if they melt as soon as i can get the car started (the way i am going will probably be next year)i dont think they will but as they only cost £8 i wont worry if they do.

I think they look good. As Soggy says it not a race engine (obviously being a CVH!) so who cares and anyway the shape looks good to me.

How many bike carbs are running without bellmouths? - most I think. What he must do though is fit an airbox / filter arrangement.

Any radius is better than none, so for £8 you won't do much better!!!!

On my R1 carbs I have used weber 40 ram pipes that I got for a fiver from Stoneleigh.

I have cut them down and they fit adeally on the end of my carbs with some hose and jubilees and sit nicely inside my airbox.

Sorted!!

These look just as good though if tehy dont melt.
