okay,I think Im definaatley going to go for a gtr, But I don't know if I should fit a turbo bike engine or a chevy,What do you think????

I think a bike engine would suit a project like that much better, but having said that go for whichever one appeals to you most - after all, you're the one who's going to be driving it

Nice looking car Zilspeed. Bit rough around the edges though.

What about an Audi set up.

I would think that with about 3 tons of chevy in the back it should handle nearly as well as a VW Beetle!

what about a bi-turbo v6?

Bike engine power is the way to go. By the time you add a transaxle, gearbox to the engine you are adding a lot of weight to the car. Westfield tried it with the XTR4 using an audi turbo. It was still slower than the bike engined XTR2.

ditch a high rpm V8 in there with a lot of power, or a biggish bike engine!

so ITB'd 1uz toyota on 7500rpm or a busa/zx12 etc etc

a 180degrees exhaust system on the toyota engine would sound VERY mean!

It's definitely a GTR and it definitely needs a bike engine. The only way to fly..........

I'd go bike engine as the chassis is starting to get marginal when a big V8 is fitted. Spire seemed a bit dubious about fitting a Chevy when I asked them about it. Also the chassis is designed around a bike engine being fitted (or was when I last saw one) as the engine bay would need a few tubes moving about, as it's a bit offset to counter the drivers weight. With a bit of extra triangulation and so on, a V8 would go in though, but I'd still go turbo'd bik, as you'll miss the 11+krpm.
