i am after a up rated radiator to fit to my kit car where do i find one that will work with the right amount of flow but also small enough to fit in the nose of a lotus 7 type?

you cant get much bigger than a polo or micra rad into a LSIS nose. Your choices as i see them is either try a polo/micra rad, try a custom rad thats a bit deeper, add an extra rad somewhere, or use 'water wetter'. I would suggest you use a polo rad with water wetter and a good fan with an override, with a properly calibrated temp gauge. Your opinion may differ!

Check out the dax rush owners forum, there was a few posts a while back regarding custom high performance rads and where to get them from.

If you are willing to import, summit racing in the states do ally rads much cheaper. I bought one and am happy with the finish.

I have a (at least it's exacly like) MG B radiator in my striker, this is a very thick unit, and has more cooling ability than a well tuned 4age 20v,

might be worth checking out, they are small in hight and width but thats made up for by the thickness i think.

wasn't there a V8 MG aswell?
