Pinto heads
caber - 5/6/07 at 10:16 PM

I have just aquired a 2.0 carb pinto head that I am going to put on my 1600. i have been told that these have better flow and bigger valves. Is this correct and am I likely to get more power from my 1600 if I go this route with webber 40s or bike carbs?

TIA

Assuming you have the normal 1.6 not the ong stroke then I think you'll do a great job of increasing the combustion chamber volume and lowering the compression ratio. Bye bye power.

The heads that you want are 1.6GT heads.
1.6 compression ratio but with 2.0 valves & camshaft.

OR
If you want to be silly get a 1.3 head and modify it to take the 2.0 cam and valves, this would take you compression ratio up to about 11:1 .

How much can I skim the 2litre head to reduce the combusion chamber volume?

Why not use it to lower the compression then stick a supercharger on it....

You know you want to....
