Has anybody out there ever fitted a RWD gearbox, of any type, onto the following engine.
Mazda - 1489cc DOHC 16valve - from a Mazda 323f 5 door car.
I have had the car since new and the mileage is low.
I am undecided as to whether to forget the 7type and have a go at a 'Midi'
I do have a 7type chassis with IRS.
Possibly the gearbox from a MX-5 will fit?
The Mazda MZR engine is the same as the ford duratec, don't know though wich engine the 323 has, but might share the bolt pattern of the duratec,
and therefore maybe a bellhousing of a duratec could do.
But might be completely different too.

As posted, the B series (B6, BP, BPT etc) spawned the Z5, so the B6/BP boxes from an MX5 will fit.
