In time til then, I keep busy working on my highly modified Mazda RX7.
So I have a question about building a turbocharged carburated engine. It'll need fuel, and plenty of it. However, I can't find to many suitable fuelpumps in Europe. I like the Aeromotive ones ( www.aeromotiveinc.com) but they'd be very expensive when I buy them in the USA (import taxes etc). Anybody who knows other good pumps? And I'll need a rising rate (boost sensitive) fuel pressure regulator, but can't find any in Europe either.
Maybe someone can help me out, and point directions?

have you tried burton power? they do that kind of stuff, have definately seen pumps and regs any way, and also sell turbo type stuff too.

what about a pump from a jag v12? mine used to indicate 3mpg under acelleration - thats gotta shift some fuel

Bart, I guess you are using a blow through system' and thus pressurizing the float chamber? Fuel pumps themselves shouldnt be a huge problem, (most injection cars deliver fuel at over 50 psi-e.g. one off the back of a big Beemer should suffice) but the pressure sensitive regulator could be. All I can suggest is try various turbo conversion specialists, or suck instead of blow....

Problem is that I want an external pump, not an in tank one.
And yes, it'll be a blow-through setup, using a modified Mikuni carb.

Diesel engines have pumps of about 1500 psi!!

Those pumps aren't what I'm talking about.
The diesel pump you mention is the high pressure pump at the engine, not the fuel pump that sucks fuel from the tank!
There must be some source of high performance fuel pumps in the UK, with you guys having so many motorsports series??? All I found until now is a Holley pump, that'd more or less od, but I can find the correct regulator.
If I didn't find something by next week, I'll simply buy the Holley pump and use a USA made regulator.

Do a search for Facet pumps.
They do a range of fuel pumps for various different applications and will have one that will suit your needs.
They are all mostly external push type pumps.
