Carb to manifold hose

just wondering what hose folks have used to connect bike carbs to the inlet manifold.
do you use silicon and keep checking for deterioration or something else?
also any pointers to suppliers who sell at sensible prices

I've used the original rubber hoses

yeah I'd just use rubber as I don't trust silicon and exposure to petrol, some of that stuff goes hard.

I have used both rubber and silicon in the past and rubber worked best for me,but some use fuel hose.

its worth asking DarrenW what hose he used as he sent me some and it worked a treat, it was some sort of coolant hose very thick walls and didnt seem to be effected by petrol

I tried samco-esque hose but it deteriorated very quickly.
I replaced it with Alfagomma T-352 radiator hose and its been great. ID 48mm. OD 58mm.

Ive still got 21" left. From memory 10" does 4 carbs on a normal manifold. Let me know if your stuck. £10 delivered would cover my costs.
