have decided to build a fuel tank but need some help on subject of sender unit.In the book it say's use doner sender and fix to tank with a 5mm circular plate but am having problems sourcing one.Can i use any other sender and if so what,also do i need any other pipes besides feed and breather.

depends on the donor but sometimes you need a return pipe as well. Also the fuel guage may need re cailbrating.
