Has anybody got the physical dimensions of the Ford Focus engine/trans?

I doubt anyone is going to be able to give you that information, due to any power unit being such an awkward shape to measure. You would probably be better to ask specific questions such as how far forward of the wheel centreline would the rear cockpit bulkhead need to be to clear the exhaust manifold?

I don't know the answer to that particular question either, I'm afraid. There's just no substitute for getting under the bonnet of a friendly neighbour's car with a tape measure.

BTW I've been all through this when I was going to use a Mondeo as a donor.

Yes, that's the right idea.

BUT, the French buy french cars, Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, and I have never seen a french registered Focus!!

If you get specific about what dimensions you want I could have a measure on mine

Many thanks.

Just want to know the overall width for fitting in an old chassis I have in the shed, which is 26 inch wide.

Don't mind a little bit sticking out such as the clutch housing.

There is a dimensioned outline of, I think the Zetec SE here.

There is a regular Zetec dimensioned drawing here.

Sorry haven't seen gearbox drawings anywhere.

My Focus 16V Zetec measures approximately:-

55 cm wide
60 cm long with gearbox projecting a further 30 cms
65 cms high

Hope this helps.
