hi all i was just after some advice on what exhaust to put on my indy when my 2.0 zetec is fitted i see some peaple have used standard r1 cans do they
not restrict the engine ?
the car has allready been sva d so not worried about noise
any sugestions on what and were to get would be apreciated
Bought mine from Martin Keean pretty free flowing and stainless they meet the noise requirements of most tracks.
I'm using a Westfield manifold with link pipe to a Caterham silencer... Works very well and not too loud.
All parts were purchased second hand for not very much. I also have a Carbon covered R1 can that I took apart. The flow is pretty poor on it as the
gas does two u turns inside the can through different chambers.
i have a silvertop with 205 bhp and i'm using a standard R1 can so i think they are a great can!

Sounds nice but i may have to put a different can on it for sva as its a bit loud.
"That's a healthy output... Tell us more about your setup."
its a silver top bottom end standard apart from ARP bolts, stage two head, ported and polished etc. Kent FZ2002 cams. Dunnel ignition and webber
45's power is 207BHP @6850rpm when it hits the limiter could get another 10-15 HP out of it if i higher the limiter but i worry about the bottom
end as it has done an unknown mileage. it also gives a healthy 190lbs/ft @ 5500 rpm all the figures are from a tried and tested rolling road.
the car has the same power to weight ratio of a dodge viper so i am well happy
thanks for all the advice guys you been a great help
