Supercharger and other bits

Just on the off chance someone has one laying about, I am after an Eaton M45 supercharger off the new Cooper S for a project

Also looking for a dump valve (recirculating type) and a small intercooler.

And a crank pulley off a CVH, preferably with the toothed wheel, but not a major one if it hasnt.

Cheers,
David

A Saab75 turbo valve is quite nice. For a supercharger you don't want a dump valve anyway, a recirculating one is better- Eaton blowers don't have a compression ratio so if you've got no pressure you've got no heat production By recirculating the air when you back-off you prevent the engine have to work harder to pull air through a filter when you're going to blast it out through a dump valve.

With a turbo (a centrifugal blower) you're better off venting to atmospheric than recirculating air (which will just get hotter and hotter). Then it's better to dump the air and pull in some fresh stuff. Production turbo cars often have recirculating BOVs just for low noise outputs- but on a roots blower its a good thing....

And Flak I've got an Eaton M45, some nice pulleys and a BOV but I'm keeping them for (I suspect) a similar project

Might have one to sell at the right price. What are you thinking of spending ?
There is one on ebay 3 plus days to go and is broken but repairable. Its £62 atm

Yeah seen that. Dont need the drive so that one would do nicely.

Not thinking of spending more than £150 on one. I missed one today on the bay which went for £156, my max bis was £150. Seems about the going rate for used ones.

Its being strapped to the pinto

Throw the pinto away and fit a proper car engine
