fitting suspension bushes

hi all, just made a suspension pivot point, the bit that gets welded onto the chassis side of the wishbone.

Anyway, making it to the correct dimensions in the haynes book, 33.7 OD 28.5 ID the poly bushes i have will only fit if they are crammed in hard.

This in turn means that the crush tube one puts through the middle now has to be really crammed in to fit.

Are these interferance fits alright, or should i machine the pivoting points to a slightly larger ID so the fit is more transition or sliding?

thanks al

its meant to be a really tight fit like it is. all you need to do is smother the inside and outside of the crush tube in copper grease

Prepare for comments on copper slip!! (although I used it and no signs of compatability problems 7 years later...)...
