Tyre size...

I've spotted a few comments about using RC car tyres to cover the spring seats etc on the shockers. What size and type have people used please?

yup i used this idea, the tyres were knobbly ones of an offroader rc car, don't know the actual size of them though unfortunately but the worked a treat.

I cut a slice through them so i could get it around the tops and bottoms of the springs and then used a couple of cable ties to secure it in place and tidied it up with electrical tape, passed no probs at nottingham

IIRC the 4" (100mm) ball will not get into that area in the first place to fail SVA. If that's what the objective is... to pass the SVA. Use a toilet cistern float to test all round the car if you need something...

i'm pretty sure at least the lower is accessible by the 'babies head'.

I was advised to cover both, i would advise you to do the same
