Should i have a pass certificate after i have my V5
I bought a car 18 months ago that had passed its SVA and registered. I am about to sell the car to guy who is taking it to holland so is going to have
to go through the process of export/import. My question is, should i have an SVA pass certificate, or does that get exchanged for the V5????

No, that goes to the DVLA in exchange for registering.
Some people keep copies, others forget in the excitement of getting on the road

'Should' be no different to any other imported car i would think.

cheers guys, just spoke to DVLA about export and they told me what i need to do, then they put me onto VOSA to find out about the SVA certificate, who
then said i needed to speak to DVLA
As donut said, i can't see why it won't be any different

Don't see why, its a real car now.
You can't supply what you dont have, why would you need it?
Unless of course DVLA and VOAS tits don't trust each other

ooking at it slightly differently, if I was to sell a std production car to some-one on the continent I certainly wouldn't have an SVA
certificate for it , so I would imagine just the plain old V5 would be good enough in both cases.....Isn't a V5 supposed to be european standard
to replace our old and much loved logbook
