Thank you

Without these guys I would possibly not be going to my Sons wedding today.

We owe these guys a lot.

Respect.

Good point and best of luck today. Having been joined in holy matrimony a couple of times the photo seems oddly symbolic of marriage too!.....ignore me, I'm just a cynic!

Well put. It's all too easy to take our normal lives for granted which without the sacrifice these guys made would simply not be possible.

Many thanks

TOTAL respect, my grandfather-in-law (still alive and well) was shot down over Arnem and was helped back home by the Dutch resistance, lots of credit has to go to the resistance fighters all over Europe as well.

Even playing it on the computer game was quite a disturbing experience, we cannot imagine what the real thing was like....

Nice one Jon for the post.

My dad was in the landing craft that day.

I wonder what their 'trauma' is worth on todays market?

I cannot begin to imaging what those men went through.
The sacrifices made by the men who gave their lives, or the men who survived and had to live with those memories.

Which is 1 of the reasons why our government should hang their head in shame over what they have done to this country since coming to power.

Something about this, so very wrong.....I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn`t like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
