Lotus F1 team for 2010??
A Litespeed/Lotus team may be one of the new F1 teams apparently. They are collecting some well known names too.

I think Litespeed built their own F3 car, which makes a change.

It would be great to see Lotus back in F1.

Who owns Lotus at the moment, is it still Proton?
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Litespeed have got hold of just the name (bought from James Hunt's brother).
It's just the name though, not the actual Lotus company.
Cheers,
James

Litespeed bought the rights to the SLC chassis that Signature ran in the Euro F3 a few years back without much sucess.
They have maybe changed a few bits on it and entered it into British F3 for the last 2 years without any sucess.
Not sure what is going on with them, they are a small team by F3 standards let alone F1. They have a few ex lotus people running the team but they
have had to put a full page ad in Autosport recruiting ex F1 staff.
That was only 2 weeks ago. By the time they have anyone on board they are going to have half a season to set up an F1 team and design build a car
unless they are buying a customer car if they rules are now allowing that.

As I said:

Looks like some more politics and legal action in F1 then for a change!

Or maybe not...

Maybe seeing Mike Gascoigne's name on there has suddenly made Lotus Group think Lotus team are a bit more serious!

James
