0-60!
Hey all, just wondering, U hear a lot about locosts etc 0-60 time but never about the max speed. Can any1 tell me the max speed of a bike engined
car? R1, Fireblade, ZX9R etc? And also is a ZX12r a good engine? Thanx

It all depends on the gear ratios, the diff ratio and the size of wheels you use.
My Dax Rush with a 3.62 diff and 15" wheels with 215/40 tyres would top out at about 116 mph.
With a 3.14 diff and 16" wheels with 225/60 tyres, it'll do 163mph. It wouldn't pull that speed without more power but it would be
pretty relaxed cruising at 80 mph, for a BEC anyway.
You can pretty much choose what you want. If you want maximum acceleration then choose a lowish top speed. Unless you're racing on big
circuits you won't need more than 125 mph, and most cars wouldn't reach much more than that anyway.

with 15" wheels, 3.89 diff the isonblade hit the red line in top at 128/130 mph, 12600rpm, 0-60 sub 4 secs provided you got the power down n
little or no wheelspin.

Jay,
Don't worry about it, there are no roads good enough in Northern Ireland to do much more than a ton anyhow
Did you have any more luck with the insurance?
Cheers
