OT- Paypal Q? Re:postage

I sold an R1 baffle plate to a guy in Sweden and sent it to his address provided by paypal.
He says it didn't arrive.
I said I would send another and he resent me his address which was different to the paypal one provided.
He said "Yes that is my old adress, both the old and my new adress was on paypal, dont now why, have now chenged it so only the right adress is there"
He is b*llsh*tting right? You can only have one postal address listed.
I have told him to check at his old address or wait until it is returned to me as it was not my fault.
How do I stand?

You can have multiple delivery addresses in Paypal, and then set a default one, from the list.
I have 2 setup one for my house and another for my parents if something is coming by courier and needs signing for when Im at work.

OK, but he still gave me the wrong address. I have a copy of the postage page saved if there are any arguements.

You can have an alternate address, but he was not using it correctly, should have messaged you to confirm which address to use....

from paypal
Alternate address - You've indicated that deliveries can be sent to this address.

Home confirmed address - We've confirmed delivery to this address and it's a valid delivery address.

Its his fault, I'd do nothing till I get the part back, then charge him a re-handling fee!!

Did you send by trackable (& insured) means?
If so has it been signed for?

If not delivered you can claim against the carriers and refund the buyer.

i was on the other end of this exact situation. Of course its not your responsibility! On paying for things all the delivery details will have been available to him.

Be gentle with him, but you dont owe him anything

I am sympathetic, but I cannot just give him anothe £30 plus p & p plate. Also the post office will not refund for incorrectly addressed items.

Well the update is that he is being reasonable and accepts that it is his fault and he is prepared to wait to see if it comes back to me. Also he suggested he pays return postage.
Not all ebayers are kn*bheads when they make a mistake!
