zetec speed density map anyone ?
been playing and car idles okish but i cant seem to improve on it, somethings not set right somewhere, anyone got a map for a zetec 2.0 running speed
density that i could look at ?. lost any patience i did have and am now on reserve

Do you have access to www.megasquirtmaps.com?
I signed up but never got validation so can't download anything, but there is a 2.0 Zetec map for the MS1-Extra that you may be able to convert
for the MS2 here

cornwall.running a 2.0 silver top zetec with a single throttle body,ms 2 v3 (extra2.0)edis,speed density and lc-1.
been messin this afternoon and found a couple of air leaks on my manifold which i have sorted but i think my problem lies with the afr. When i start
the car my lc-1 gauge goes up to 14.? then drops straight to 7.6 and does'nt move, the gauge on my lap top says 10.20 and does'nt move.My
fuel req is set to 10.0 and map is 25 to 30.I can get the co down at idle to the correct level but it does fluctuate(it also has a cat fitted) a bit
and the gauges stay as mentioned.

somethings not right there, you have wired the LC-1 up right havent you and connected the analog output 2 to the MS and the analog output 1 to the
guage, you then need to use the LM-1 programmer program to change the Analog output 1 signal to 0-5 vaults for the wideband guage as its default
setting is for narrowband sensor.
you should have an idle around 14.5/14.7:1 if you are using Speed Density and a single Throttle Body. you need to get all your air locks sealed before
trying to tune! otherwise you will just start snowballing with wrong figures. are your temperature sensors working properly as well?
where abouts have you got the sensor mouned? ideally on a 4-1 manifold you want it in the collector at the end of the primaries. the same applies for
a 4-2-1 manifold but you want it at the second collector of the 2-1 section.

sensor is in the collector of an mk manifold, cant remmember about the wiring now its been a while so will have to check. As for the sensors i could do
with the resistances of the standard ford ect to check against mine

you have to make sure that both sensors are reading correctly as they play a key role in the warm up and afterstart enrichments, so if they are not
reading correctly your back to the snowball situation again
i would also check that your lc-1 LED is blinking correctly during warm up mode (30 seconds from when its turned on), consult the manual, i think a
correct warm up indication is a steady blinking light, there are other LED blinking orientations that indicate whether something is wrong, but i
can't remember of hand what they are.

The default settings are for GM sensors. The Ford sensor has a much higher resistance,
10 times higher or so. If the MS thinks the engine is cold all the time it will be applying the warm-up enrichment which could explain your problems!

Easytherm is the solution if your sensors are non-standard. Its a nice bit of code (although a bit fiddly until you work out what the .s19 and .ini
files all do).
You do need to get some calibration values (i.e. the resistance at 3 different temperatures). But someone here might be able to help with those (if
you haven't got a kettle and a jump of ice).

MS2 makes this much easier, it's all built into Megatune and TunerStudio. You can just select one of the common sensors built in (inc. Ford) or
enter three temperature/resistance pairs for other sensors and it burns a new linearisation table into the micros flash memory for you.
