wheres best for sheet aly?
im after some sheet aluminium to make some bits and bobs, anyone recomend anywhere to get some, either a national store or around sg13?

Can't help, but it pays to ring around a few different local suppliers. Saved quite a bit by doing this..

I got all my sheet metal from parker steel.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I phoned around Coventry and got prices from 25 quid to 50 quid ex vat.
Eventually realised the 25 quid place was the local stock holder and the rest got it from them. If you can collect, get your yellow pages (or
yell.com) and start dialling.
Went on a saturday morning with a luton transit I had for collecting other stuff and got 4 sheets for 115 (inc vat). They're now killing my lawn
as i have no where to store them apart from lying ontop of the grass.

Parker steel have a depot just off the A 14 at Cambridge.

I used aluminium droitwich on ebay (search in ebay stores).
Used them a few times and always had great service/quick delivery.
