Quick Motorway Rant
What is it with some idiots, must get in the middle lane?
Just come over the M62 Manchester to Leeds, traffic came to a halt, and I'd ended up in the middle lane, stood still. Lane 1 starts moving, but
some twat decided he wanted to push into the stationary middle lane, holding up lane 1, eventually gets in in front of me then starts gesticulating
out of the window.
I'm 6'4 and a gym regular, the temptation was imense, the tw@t!!!
Rant over and feeling better.

The amount of people that jump from one lane to another is crazy they can't wait. They have to be in any lane thats moving?

its funny, people spend thousands of pounds on their cars but by the way most people drive they cant stand to be in them for a second more than they
have to.
with my luck im usualy too busy watching the temperature guage in traffic than watching others!

I've just driven from Hull to Liverpool. M62 is a nightmare. People join and regardless of lane speed etc, move straight into the middle lane,
just to sit there.
As much as I'd like to vent, the jerks that do this are hardly going to read this and improve their driving. Hell if undertaking them
doesn't get the message home, how will this help

I normally put full beam on them, overtake then pull into the left hand lane- why do they sit in the bloody middle lane-ar@£holes. Barry

I once followed a car up a motorway sliproad onto a totally empty motorway and he moved straight into the second lane and trundled along at 50. I
ended up overtaking him, pulling straight back to the first lane, slowing so he passed me and then pulling back out and passing him again. Rather
silly I know and he didn't seem to get the message anyway.

that is the reason why the M62 comes to a standstill!!!!! people changing lanes to gain a few yards, if everyone stayed in lane the flow of traffic
would pick up and start moving again.
i drive m62 jcn 30 to 25 every day and this time of year it is a pain in the arse. 1 hr is my average drive time for 15 miles. in the summer time when
the kids are off school i can do it in 25 mins!!
must remember to buy a paramotor

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I think its partly that most people are never taught how to drive on a motorway but assume the rules on lanes are different from normal dual
carrigeways.
I know I'm not supposed too but I often find myself overtaking people like that on the inside, just because I'm in the first land doing
about 65MPH in an empty lane and every few minutes I seem to catch up with some one in the next lane and sometimes the far lane going slower on an
otherwise empty motorway, you also get some who sit in the middle lane but when you move across two lanes to overtake, they speed up and sit level
with you. Last time I went down the M4 I had this more than once, and one of them was doing less than 60 when I aproached and changed lanes (Twice)
then sped up to almost 90 just as I was passing him, I actually got back across the motorway when he caught up with the next car in the middle lane. I
then went back to the first lane, slowed down to 70 on the speedo (Which is about 65 acording to the sat nav) and they dissapeared into the
distance.
The thing that really bugs me is when you move over at an on ramp so that people can get on and they pull straight out into the middle going no faster
than the firstlane and alot slower than I am so that all the motorway traffic at that point has to slowdown or all move out to the third lane (And
slowdown aswell obviously).
That link is really funny.

I do undertake them, and I'll argue that it's safer than crossing 2 lanes and doing 65 in the 3rd lane. ONE person has moved in, in all
the time I've been doing this.
Also in a traffic jam on the motorway I try to get in the 1st lane asap as it's most likely to be moving, if not the fastest.

I went from J10 to J9 on the M20 this morning about 6.30, amazingly, it was busy given the time but everyone I saw was in the first lane apart from a
guy who moved over to let me out (And then came back in when he was well clear) and someone overtaking a lorry (Who also moved back over). It looked
to be the same on the other carriageway aswell.
