A friend of mine is in the process of buying a completely original Mk1 Capri 3.0 which has never been driven on the road.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

At least of two of the guys featured in that video used to race boats with my oldman.
Peter Lindenburg being the guy I remember the best. Basil Greens workshop was in Edenvale ten mins from our house in Joburg. I remember meeting him when I was still at school, Vincent Warrener bought one of his cars and the street races out towards wemmerpan and the Americano drivin resturant in Joeys...
My dad had a Holden Monaro at the time.
The other thing in that video is a blue two tone Ford Ranchero pickup.

Oh Happy Days Nice video
thanks for posting that it means a lot to me.

A rare opportunity to collect one of the few remaining Basil Green PERANA cars. Only 1,000 built for export with the approval and full factory warranty of FoMoCo. This example has only had one owner from new, only 110,000 kilometeres of use. Fantastic V8 performanance car for the real enthusiast. If this car was a Capri Perana you would be paying some GBP30,000 in similar condition.

Always liked the Zakspeed Capris. Would a re-bodied Locost version be out of the question?

I love capris and would love to own one, unfortunately the Mk3 doesnt qualify as tax exempt and everything about them is hideously expensive!

My brain's started ticking:

Take a mondeo, remove the shell and replace with a 2 door coupe. Rotate the engine 90 degrees and modify the chassis to make it rear wheel drive. Lower the suspension and you got a 21st century Capri.

They've remade the Scirocco, why not?
