MK2 Escort
A good friend of mine builds rally cars for a living, over here in Northern Ireland the MK2 is still one serious bit of kit, with crazy money being
spent on them. Here's his latest build, and the other link shows his own car.
John's escort - Just built yellow escort
Marty's own yoke - Blue mk2
Not any way locost related, just the quality of the builds are unreal, and i wanted to share it with you guys, blue car's running a duratec,
yellow car has a 2.4 vauxhall engine in it.
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

Haha, a friend of mine bought a very good condition mk 2 escort a couple years ago for £500 (a bargain at twice the price) it was cheap because the
owner had lost the keys, my mate managed to open and start it with one of his old ford keys - he thought that was good, I'm not so sure!

nice jobs.
... but putting the coilpack directly above the exhaust manifold (yeloow 'un) is not what i would have done.

I thought exactly the same; seems an odd decision as he's had to modify the L shaped cover to enable the HT leads to exit right over the
manifold.

Very common conversion, I always see several XE engined Escorts at the stage rallies I service on. Starting to see some Duratecs being fitted now
though.
