Bumper Repair

Just part ex'ed my tintop and told the guy that the bodywork was in good condition, (he hasn't seen it but agreed to part ex anyway). Upon closer examination there are some fairly deep abrasions on the front bumper corners. its a 12 year old car with 150k on the clock.

Shall I do nothing or shall I have a go at a quick repair? I have already paid for the new car and am picking it up on thursday.

What do you think, quick rub down bit of filler, rub back and a bit of silver aerosol?

I'd leave it, acceptable wear and tear after 12 years.
If the metalwork is straight and paint ok I think it lives up to your word.

Leave it, unless you told him it was perfect he'll have given his price based on minor work being required. If you got less than £600 it will be going to the auction/scrappy anyway.

Its not going on his forecourt. He called 3 dealers when we were there who offered him between 450 and 800.

Don't worry about it. They will never let themselves be out ot pocket. If he was that worried he would have asked to see it before giving you a price.

He'll make money somewhere you can guarantee it
