weber alpha for duratec no sparks

as it says on tin...weber alpha pro 4 throttle body kit on 2L duratec engine

finally got the car to run on saturday morning for a few min's then turned it off to put put a few bits back on the engine (nothing that's disturbed any wiring)
Now the problems, cant get the dam thing to spark now, coil packs getting about 10.5 volts when engine is cranking but no spark

tried it on three battery's,1 that runs a motorhome and still can't get more than 10.5 volts to coil when cranking

any ideas ?

My cranking voltage is lower than 10.5v and sparks are fine. Obviously its a different set-up (megasquirt in my case on a bike engine).

Is your trigger wheel doing the right sort of things?

Stew

are you getting fuel ok ?
Crank sensor definatly worth checking *if* you aren't

Double check all the connections and the Plug at the ECU end

iirc the ECU will need a minimum of 10 volts otherwise it will sulk and start playing up

Webcon Alpha unit should just 'plug & play' but as you know not being able to connect a laptop and see what its doing can be a pain in the ass when it come to diagnosis

a-up perksy

yeh its getting fuel, just lost sparks....it may wind up going to troys to sort it out but don't fancy a trip to northamton to find out it's a duff battery or coil pack

will you lot be at stoneleigh for a few beers this weekend ?

have Seen Coils be ok with a Multimeter but fail under load Mate
Trying a Spare one would sort that idea out (You've already checked for voltage at Coil end)

Worth having a chat with Troy if you don't get any luck with Webcon
He's a Top bloke and very helpful

No Stoneleigh this year i'm afraid Mate
Really busy at work at the moment and have also been spending more time working on mates Westy's/Cars and not enough time working on mine

Hope you have a good one if your going Mate
