Laser Alloys on an Indy

Has anyone fitted Capri laser alloys [et20 I think] to an Indy? Do they fit under the rear arches OK?

Tried and failed and would involve spacing the rear arches out a bit
Fronts would be less of a drama as you /could/ just bend the wingstays to suit

Not sure if the front end geometry would be "wrong" though with less offset (thinking wheel scrub type scenario?)

All is not lost though
Keep your eye out for Fiesta Supersports which have 38 offset and fitted my Indy no probs

(they look the same at a glance, just not quite as aggressive due to the lack of deep dish)

I have a set here if you fancy a day out in sunny Gosport to see what they would look like and check clearences for your brakes etc

LOL
It is going forwards and am looking forward to the day I have zero posts :-p

I failed at having an "Internet flounce" a while back and did some pruning after the fact...which left me in minus figures when I calmed down / realised its only the internet and not real life (*since found out they drive an Audi, which kind of proved I was right all along...)

hopefully only 218 posts till I have never posted....

* I /might/ have made this bit up....and actually drove an A4 recently and thought it was OK

I was however VERY concious about using my indicators and making sure I understood where the mirrors were and their purpose and even let people out of junctions and gave room for cyclists/motorcyles just to prove Audis are capable now and again. I'm sure it raised eyebrows

Thanks Rob

There is a set with R888s on for sale just up the road from me so I was hoping they would fit!

Plan B is a set of new Team dymanics 1.2s!

OK Stu

I got offered a set originally and bolted one side up, but deemed it too much work at the time

I'm sure it would be possible to fit them if you were willing to cut n extend the rear arches and bash the wing guards over a bit
(not a massive ammount IIRC, but still a bit daunting)

Alternately it may be possible to extend the rear arches by packing them out from the body tub
I'm pretty sure I saw someone on here do it using MDF spacers/fillers and a set of longer bolts recently?

Still unsure if moving the wheels further out would be a step in the wrong direction handling wise?

Regards
Rob
