Driving to vehicle inspection
Ok we all know we can drive to IVA providing insurance is in place (even if some of the plod think differently!), however I had always thought, &
I'm sure there have been discussions on here recently about this, that you most definitely could NOT drive to the DVLA for inspection for
registration purposes?
Just got my letter from the DVLA asking me to bring vehicle for inspection & the last line of the letter reads
"Also for the purpose of the inspection ONLY, the vehicle may be driven to & from the office."
Well you can't say it clearer than that can you? I assume this must be a change of policy?
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

hope they all see sense like that
for MSVA I can ride the trike/bike to the test, but for the DVLA bit they wont allow you to, not at Exeter anyway, has to be off the ground, I did ask
if I took axle stands and put it on them, would that count, they werent too impressed LOL
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it

When a friend of mine registered his car at Exeter DVLA, they didn't even want to inspect it. They said they would accept IVA cert as proof of
engine & chassis number. Change in policy apparently!!
