Sticking Brakes - Help Please!

My 8" drum brakes on my live axle keep sticking partially on. They are the self-adjusting type. I have tried taking them apart and vacuum cleaning them. I have reset them, but as soon as the brakes are used for the first time, they just sit on.

Now this maybe handy for grids that are slightly downhill, but other than that they are a drain on my very limited horsepower. Any ideas for sorting them please?

Thanks
Dickie

I had a similar problem last year but it was the handbrake rather than the hydraulics. The linkage from the handbrake cable was siezed so once you put the handbrake had been on it was always on until you manually yanked the cable back from the drum. Some WD40 cured it for me.

Mine sticks with the foot brake, but now you mention it, I think it sticks with the handbrake as well. I'll WD40 it to be sure, but need to do something with the internals I fear....
