Success - First tax since registration
Hurrah!!!!!!!
Just visited my local PO, that does road tax, and have successfully retaxed the car without an MOT (reminder said it needed one - 1st reg was Jan
'10)
For a moment it looked like it was going to be a pain when the post master said "hang on it says here MOT unconfirmed, I need your MOT
certificate"
"Ah" says I "it doesn't need one as it's less than 3 years old and I have here a form V112 ready for you" He has
a read, nods his head and says "well yes your correct, please have tax disc with my compliments - oh that'll be £118.25 please. How would
you like to pay?"
"In installments I said"
Card duely debited and nice new tax disc in my grubby little mitt. Lovely.
Now I just need to get the car back together and shaken down by the weekend ready for Stoneleigh (Off to Canada next week for a couple of days so no
time next week).
I'm happy that I didn't have to go get an MOT etc and that the post master was a sensible chap.
And to top it all its sunny

same here
I printed off the MOT exemption form, and was filling out while the lass processed my tax. You don't need that she said it's not 3 years
old yet. Not what the muppets at the DVLA said when i queried why i could'nt buy one online.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
