Sump baffles

Hi All i am looking for the best way to baffle a sump for my Son's skyline engine

It has a modified sump to hold more oil
I was thinking of making a box with 3 hinge flaps that only swing to the pickup pipe
The box would be about 110mm sq

Any photos would help me
Thanks Jacko

Hi, I have no experience of Skyline sumps but I have built a few others. The main problem I find with baffles is that the vertical type that people seem to want do little to control oil. The oil goes up the baffle and then over it very quickly. I find that a windage tray or baffles arranged horizontally are needed to keep the oil down in the sump pan and around the pick up pipe. That's what I've found on other sumps any way!
