don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Being a biker

the term you wish to search for would a "tank slapper" and in your case "induced tank slapper"

Oh the memories I had a Kawasaki KR1S that literally used to bruise my thumbs from hitting them on the tank as the effing thing shook its head at the least bit of asking, and a lack experience on my part made me grip on the bars tighter making it worse, take your hands off the bars and watch until the thing settles down. And yes you can induce such a thing no problem, the gyroscopic effect of the front wheel rotating will automatically cancel the nudging of the bars.

That thing really learned me how to ride a bike though, and any mates who had watched the resulting head shakes would never ask for a shot of my bike saying the F**king thing was evil !!!

If you look at the video link below, i think that guy had brown pants afterwards.....

Tankslapper

Some people can never handle the truth and always try to shoot the messenger instead of taking an honest look in the mirror (its always easier to blame another than to face reality), but secretly they wish they could grow a pair and be the messenger !!!

I don't know where it is but I saw something similar demonstrating a leading link suspension set up. He was riding and bumping the bar and it would only wobble a couple of times before straightening up..

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
