LEZ & AdBlue Diesel
Two questions, how far out does the LEZ ( London Emision Zone) extend from London and who can use AdBlue diesel fuel and exactly what is it. I drive a
van (54' plate Ford Transit) for my building firm, can I use Adblue and will what effect will LEZ have on me

Short answer is you can't use it.
Adblue is not diesel it's urea (as in piss), don't know of any cars or vans using it yet but a lot of commercials and tractors now use it
to meet exhaust emissions. Not sure of the chemistry but it's injected in to the exhaust.

Google LEZ but approximately just inside the M25
Ad blue as said is cows wee but you don't chuck it in the tank it's injected in from different tank.
Transits are ok your firm should know the regs if not google and go to .gov/ london

lol, I always thought it was that stuff for chemical toilets in motorhomes. I saw the signs at petrol stations and thought "well motorhomes have
to fill up with fuel, seems logical to sell it there"

Your transit shouldnt be old enough to come under the London Emissions. So theres no point in even trying AdBlue.

its only old smokers that need to be updated .
im not sure how the law is going to be pursued but you could go into london on several occasions per year , you will get charged , but it wont be as
much as fitting an abatement device .
have a look here www.eminox.com
ive got a few friends who have asked me about it , and quite a few just end up buying newer vans as its cheaper , and thats true for all competitors
in the market ......

If your vehicle uses adblue there'll be a blue filler cap somewhere (probably near the fuel one)
I thought the VW and Mercs had adblue (as part of the "Bluemotion" title)
