gsxr engine mounting
Hello does anyone know the type of bolts used to fix the engine in. I just tied to fit the engine and i dont think the threads are metric any ideas??

The threads are most likely to be metric fine.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

yes just been down the local bike shop ordered the bits metric with 1,25 pitch.

Most engines by now have had the original fine thread stripped, replaced with a coarse helicoil.
Other silly megatorque spanner activities are to put a bolt (the long one) through the two joined crankcase lugs and tighten until the lugs break off
the casing. That needs welding, a good improvement if it gets to that stage is to add a reinforcing tube between the lugs... thankfully the material
on the upper and lower cases is better than that on the sump.
