Slow around here... - But here's and update!

I actually got to do something on the car this past weekend. It was very therapeutic. Here's what I did.

You can tell me what you think of where I am going designwise with the twin 4" LED's housed inside of aluminum tubes! They are just stuck in there to see what they look like and are not permanent yet.

More images in my galleries.

Crikey Steve, you've really made progress! Car is looking great and your idea's regarding the backlights seem simple yet tasteful. Obviously this is in keeping with the cars simple yet elegant lines... great job, keep it up!

Well,I think that you should be making them permanent. They will be a nice finishing touch that could be echoed with an ally grille.
Great work and good news that you weren't washed away.

4 day weekends would be a help too!

my instinct would have been to flush mount those tail lights, but I think what you did looks better.

Was wondering recently, are you going to make a removable top? I guess in arazona you really don't need one, unless you want to use your AC

but I wonder how it'd look with a removable hard top.

Looking very nice Steve - I don't envy you all that rubbing down though, your poor hands!!

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

It's quite therapeutic actually. Good for the circulation. Not so good for the arthritis however. I have been popping the Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) like candies...

I recommend that everyone try building a car body. At least once in their lifetime.

Lookin very nice indeed, and much simpler than the liberty lights.

Can it be out of cheese? because cheese would be so easy to work with, wouldn't it?

I think you can find any number of aggressive body kits in MaxPower mag made seemingly entirely of cheese

I really like the lights you settled on. Must be from a higher-priced rig... Peterbilt? KW?

Where I live, there are a zillion little metal polishing shops, so there must be some in Phoenix. Might be worth stopping in one to see what they'd charge to polish your light housings. Between the compounds and wheels, it would be pretty expensive to DIY, I'd think.
