Turbosport flywheel to Omex 600
I am having trouble getting my 2.0 blacktop to run.
It backfires and throws some nice flames out of the GSXR TB's..
I have traced the wiring loom and it all seems to be ok,
Omex seems to be firing the injectors, there is fuel...
so I am now starting to look at timing.
does anyone know what the timing settings should be for the Turbosport's flywheel
All help gratefully received!!

Is it a case of setting engine to TDC piston 1 then checking missing tooth hole is 90 degrees before?
You can spin the flywheel by 1 or more mounting holes that's 60 degrees

Zetec crank has eccentric flywheel bolt holes so the fly will only fit on in one position which must be 'correct'. You can go back to
first principles with timing. Take out number 1 plug and put a dial gauge or even a stick down the plug hole and identify TDC. Mark the crank pulley
and the block with adjacent dots of white paint to give timing marks. Timing light working off number 1 or 4 plug lead. Now a helper tries to start
the engine while you shine the light on the marks. Tells you reasonably clearly whereabouts the timing is.

as Dusty says the Zetec flywheel only fits in one position,
its the crank position sensor, coil dwell factor and timing alignment values I am looking for...
will have a look at the timing the old fashioned way as see what I come up with

Have you calibrated the throttle pot and entered reasonable tables for engine temp sensor.
In setup check crank sensor. I'm using Lo gain 2000, Hi gain 1900, Falling edge, Delay 50.
Dwell 20, I'm using timing alignment 1.35 for a Retroford steel flywheel on an ST. Value of 1 unit per 30 degrees so I guess you could be
anywhere up to 12.
My ignition advance is set to 3.05 for the first three boxes in the first two rows of the main ignition map and I start with my foot off the throttle
just like a tin top.
Good luck.
