Heated windscreen wiring diagram help

I'm looking for help with a heated windscreen wiring diagram.
I've got a heated front screen with a red and a black wire hanging off them which came from a caterham. I've got a savage switch which is just a push button with the illuminated heated windscreen picture on it.
I'm after a diagram which includes I guess a time latching relay? Or something like that?
I'm a bit stuck.

Please help..

Can you find a copy of the original Caterham wiring system? Doubt they have anything as fancy as a timer. If you're using the heated windscreen it's going to be nicely cooled via cold air both sides of it (unlike a tin-top where the interior get toasty). Doubt it's ever going to get hot enough to fuse the heating elements.....

I can wire up a relay ok, but it's the timer relay I was confused with.
I'll get the timer circuit from eBay and see how that goes - thanks chaps.
