New Tin Top
So we have bought a new fiesta eco red 140 and I was hoping that we could hold out delivery until 1st March to get a 15 plate. Problem is the dealer
won't wait because car is scheduled for the 7th February...they want the deal done because our PX was valued at a January value so... What would
you do... I could let them have the PX on the 7th and wait the 3 or so weeks for the new one... They are telling me the new reg won't really
help the value of the car in the future.....

Do you want a new car that isn't "new" in 3weeks? Stick to your guns!

They would say that. Wait into they value it in 3 years time and it needs / does not need a MOT!
They are salesman and treat them as such.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Which dealer are you using? My friend runs the Hendy Ford at Eastleigh if that could help!?

Yep, I reckon the year end is definitely coming into play, dealers have to fulfil quotas so it's quite possible your sale could be holding up a
bonus. If you leave it until next (car) year it will count towards the next year quota.
Having said that, it is reasonable to expect a part exchange price to only stand for 30 days or so, after all they've given you a price on the
car as it is and then you've added a couple of thousand miles.
Can you get away with no transport for a month?

targets are normal quarterly to be fair

Unless your contract says otherwise. Tell them what you want and what you intend to do, let them sort it out. You are paying for it!
