Rolling Road - What to take?
Guys,
I'm off to see the guys at Emerald in a few weeks as my car is booked in to get the car set up for the base map they supplied on my ECU.
This is the first time I have done a rolling road session. The engine/box/etc is new to the car and I have done a few quick shake down runs up and
down the private roads i know to make sure there are no over heating / leaking / falling off issues.
What should I expect and what should I take?
I was thinking things that can be swapped easy.
Set of plugs.
Leads
Oil
Coolant
Cable ties
Fuel
Basic set of tools for changing a modifying anything.
Happy to take on opinions for peoples experience.

Personally I'd say a watch and keep an eye on the time (the RR operators will be). It's surprising how quick your time passes by when
you're having fun. No doubt the operators will anyway, but make sure the car is well held - could be a sad day if it leaves in a hurry. From
experience of RRs it can be quite off-putting how hard the operators nail the throttle to get a good run.

Earplugs or ear defenders. Safety glasses.
And a suitable camera so you can post some video!

I went to Emerald last summer. Great guys and will spend the time needed on your car, even if it means staying late into the evening!
Your list sounds sensible. They will be able to help with wiring if there's been any mistakes in sensors etc.
Make sure your fuel tank is full and take a can with more just in case. Ensure tyres are in good condition and pumped up to correct pressure.
They have ear defenders but I guess you could wear safety glasses...if you expect parts of your car to fly off......
If it isn't broken; take it apart and fix it! Build PhotoBlog:

A spare pair of underpants would have been useful for me!

Great. Thanks guys.
I have a decent pair of shooting air defenders i use. I have spoken to Carl a few times via email and they all seem very good and nice people to work
with.

Was that because they gave it full beans and made you blink?

RR's can seem brutal though you have to think, it's no worse than it would get on a TD or a hard Sunday blat. Maybe it just seems worse
because someone else is peddling the car!

I watched my cars pounding away at max RPM, I was amazed that despite the noise if you could not see the pulleys spinning it could have been turned
off as it sat their running so smoothly.
Poor little turbo BEC screaming away, exhaust manifold glowing cherry red and puffs of smoke on the overrun, scarey stuff !

Still maintain that watching someone paste your car on the rollers is hard work. As above, probably no worse than you'd do yourself on a nice
day and the right location, but still quite unsettling on the rollers.
