Back in the game!!!!
Hi guys,
Well I've probably been a bit quiet on here since selling my striker, but after a bit of dealing this evening it looks like I've bought
myself another one!!!
Still a shame that it's not the one I built, but this will still need to go through the IVA anyway so will kind of be built by me...
But anyway, I'm BACK!
Just need to arrange collection and then can't wait to get building again!!!!!!
Cheers
Andy

Looks a bargain.
Have you viewed it or just taking a gamble?
I'm only 20 miles away from it if you want a eye casting over it or extra pics of certain areas etc

Thanks for the offer - i haven't viewed it as i'm south of Gatwick and isn't too practical, however this is exactly as i bought my
last striker so i'm happy taking the gamble! On the other hand, if you happen to have a trailer and fancy bringing it down to me!!!
I've got loads of photos that the current owner sent across and have spent quite a while on the phone quizzing him, but bottom line is we came
up with a price between us that we're both happy with including from my side good enough to be comfortable buying blind!

Welcome back.....now post this in the Jeremy Phillips Section and get into the JPSC club (if you aren't already!)
At that price it was a good deal and you sound like you have got it even lower. Interesting choice of engine, be great to see how you get on with it
in the future

It wasn't far off the asking price to be honest, but i didn't want to take the p*ss as he sounded like a really nice bloke and seems
pretty genuine, and even at asking price it was a fair deal!
The engine is an interesting choice, i know pretty much zip about the CVH so that'll be a fun learning experience, i think he's also
removed the injection system and replaced with carbs. I'm sure in the future i'll be looking to change the whole setup but depending on
condition and if it runs, i'll probably leave it there for now.
And yes, already on the JPSC forums, forgot that we have a specific section on here as well!

My m8 in Shrewsbury owns a trailer
Let me know what prices you get and a postcode and I will run it past him

Good one Steve.....
CosKev, had a quote for about 200 quid which seems pretty good to be honest, if your mate happens to be coming down this way and can beat that then
I'm all ears!

Got a fair bit of work to do,
Main jobs are a brake overhaul, get the engine running, and finish the wiring!

Yeh it's not bad, current jobs aside from a bit of a strip down and rebuild:
- Overhaul brakes
- front, rear and engine wiring (although looms are in place)
- paint the yellow bits black
- get the engine running or swap it (can't decide yet)
- re-run the fuel lines (hose all the way from the tank at the moment)
- IVA bits (fuel filler, indicator, mirrors, bonnet catches etc)
- Sort the dodgy camber angles on the front
No, never been on the road, but i've done IVA once before so that should help!
And i was thinking the same about the wheels, but i think i actually quite like them.... but yeh definitely need to drop them down to 13" at
some point.
