foot pump - recommendation

Bought a double barrel footpump, like the one below.

Today I had to use it so after stamping away like an effing maniac and not seeing any change nor pressure registered on the gauge, investigation revealed the hose has perished - I can pick pieces off it using fingers.

So
a) I am looking for a reliable foot pump - recommendations (not electric)
and
b) car valve adapter than can be fitted to a hose as it may be possible to fix it.

I gave up on foot pumps years ago and started using a bicycle 'track pump'. Might not be suitable due to shape/size though...

If you mean parts to fix your current footpump - you can get parts to fix bike track pumps which I assume will be compatible - but price may put you off

Had the same perished hose issue with a cheap foot pump from Halfords. Threw it in the bin and bought a bicycle track pump from eBay. Worked well for bicycles, cars and footballs for 5 years now.

Get one of the hoses listed above and if the pump doesn't work well afterwards then get a used Dunlop Major (several on eBay) and use the newly purchased hose on that. I gave up on the cheap pumps and have a Major in each garage and they're great.

I know you said not electric, but I picked on of these up for £1 in Aldi yesterday. Figured if it worked bargain, if not throw it away.

It works off the car cigarette lighter socket and pumps car and bike tyres + footballs.

(Schrader valves + a pin adapter for footballs)

temporarily fixed it with 4 mm PVC air line; expected the it to blow off but managed to pump up the tyre.

I do have a track pump but that is 105 miles away from me.

The track pump will require a longer line.
