Not so much a project diary more of a project look-back. I built myself a small workshop extension in 2016 and recorded it. Just got round to editing
the footage and thought you like minded bunch might enjoy it.
I will do a video on that in the coming months but the quick and dirty method is to get your hands on some old blown double glazing sealed units (just
look around and see who is having there windows redone). We had ours done a while back so I kept hold of a load of the units. You can cut them open
with an angle grinder and a slitting disc then scrape off the sealant with a Stanley knife blade and give it a clean up with acetone and you have
yourself a free piece of window glass. Then just cut it to size with a normal diamond tipped glass cutter. Hay presto!
Thankfully it's permitted development; all the guidelines can be found on the planning portal.
I insulated and dry lined the ceiling but not the walls. Really glad I did, it has kept the temperature much more acceptable in there over the lest
couple of days with all the hot weather we have been having I did video it but I didn't really turn out very well (the video that is) so it
didn't make the cut.
