Neat idea.
You could take the pistons out and use it for a planter as well.

Car pistons are a bit small but bigger pistons (particuarely those with combustion chambers in the piston) make very stylish ash trays and desk tidys.

and door stops, as our local scrappers have found.
i tried to shift it with my foot, and nearly gave myself a hearnia. dunno what it's from, but must be industrial. it's hooj!

Already been done mate. A house in wymington has used TWO V8 blocks to top of the gate pillars on his drive and used the bores as plant pots.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.
